Polite Greetings

Part of Family Dog Basic Skill Series

From doorway manners to street smarts…

This module focuses on the skills needed for successful greetings, including approaching and leaving people, holding still for petting, being approached by a stranger, greeting sitting and standing people, door manners and more. Mannerly behavior around people will allow your dog participate in more social situations. This class does not cover dog-dog greetings.

If your dog barks at other dogs or people:

Please check out our Rowdy and Reactive program. This program focuses on this specific problem and includes individual coaching both during the orientation and a one-on-one session with your dog in addition to group class to work on the problem. We recommend all clients experiencing this issue sign up for rowdy and reactive first and then transition into manners classes. Please contact us with any questions.

    This includes vaccinations for parvo, distemper, & rabies.

    We do require that you show us a copy of your dog's current vaccination record. Please email (train@posidog.org), text (614-300-0548), or have your veterinarian email us a copy of your dog's vaccination record.

    PosiDog, Inc. will endeavor to create as safe an environment as possible for the training of my dog and will endeavor to offer only sound, safe, and responsible training and training instructions. However, I recognize that Posidog, Inc. is not responsible for any unintentional errors, omissions, or incorrect assertions. I understand that the recommendation of any other product or service is not a guarantee of my satisfaction with that product or service. Further, I am and will remain responsible for the actions of myself and my dog at all times. I hereby agree to abide by the rules and policies of PosiDog, Inc. training classes as set forth in this contract and in the Center Guidelines. Including our Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 48 hours in advance of the beginning of the first class of the series will receive a refund less a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations made later than this are not normally eligible for a refund. I understand that attendance of dog training classes, seminars, trials, etc. is not without risk to myself, members of my family, guests who may attend, or to my dog. In consideration of, and as inducement to the acceptance of my application for training membership in this seminar, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless PosiDog, Inc., its officers, directors, instructors, trainers, agents, employees, volunteers and/or representatives of any and all claims, or claims by any member of my family, or accompanying guests of mine of injury, expense, costs or damages to myself, my dog or any handler sponsored by me both in class/seminar and out of class/seminar. In addition, I agree that I will defend and indemnify PosiDog, Inc., its officers, directors, instructors, trainers, agents, employees, volunteers and/or representatives for any injury, expense, costs or damages to any dog handlers or dogs, whether sponsored by me or not, or to third parties arising out of my own actions or the actions of my dog. I have read the above-stated provisions, and agree to accept those responsibilities.
