If you have attended one of our trick training workshops previously or if you have done trick training on your own, come and get started on some more challenging (and impressive) tricks! Tricks will vary but may include: carry a basket, find a toy, jump through a hoop, play dead, and more. We will also be able to test for AKC Trick Dog Titles. Limited to 6 teams
Agility trials have elements that are very different than class. We’ll practice some of these parts and talk about training steps to continue this work as you work towards participating in agility trials. This is appropriate for dogs in Intermediate class.
A few of the things we’ll work on:
– Focusing even with bar setters in the ring
– Performing without food
– Enter and exit rules/routines
– Waiting in a line with other dogs
– How to walk a course and what your dog will do during this time
Limited to 6 teams
90 minute workshop – $30 working spot (dog & handler)
Trick Training – Beginners Workshop
Workshop – Sunday, April 7 at 10:30 am
Want some tricks to show off to friends and family? Looking for a way to physically and mentally exercise your dog on cold, wet days when walks are hard? Try trick training!
In this workshop, we’ll work on a variety of types of tricks — your dog will learn to use his nose, use his feet, and use props (both everyday and specialty items). You and your dog will leave the workshop with a start on many new tricks and inspiration for others. For those interested, we will be able to meet the requirements for the AKC’s Novice Trick Dog Title.
